Angie and I just returned from the August ASD Trade Show (where we purchase all of the products for our OCV brands). I bet you are wondering what we bought…

Well, take a look at the fall 2012 trends from this season’s fashion runway shows to get a good idea! Of course, there are many trends for the fall, so I chose a few to highlight, along with some of our fabulous OCV products that are currently available.

Our first trend is The Great Outdoors. This trend is all about preppy prints mixing with classic, English-inspired styles. It is quintessential fall with plaids, argyles, knit sweaters, and tweeds.  A great example of this trend is the Tommy Hilfiger ad shown, as well as the runway shows of Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, and Burberry.

The next trend is Classic Lady. Sophisticated and ladylike are continuing to dominate with more feminine styles shown this fall. Colors vary from a deep, luxurious wine to a soft, pale pink. Retro influences are strong with looks based on the 1940s, 50s, and 60s housewife. Shows like Oscar de la Renta, Dior, Marni, and Chloe displayed their best ladylike looks.

Our last trend to discuss is Modern Military. This trend is channeled in men’s and women’s wear this fall, with edgy looks and muted colors. It included studs, leather, masculine sunglasses, and structured bags.  Some designers who sent military looks down the runway are Belstaff, Victoria Beckham, and Salvatore Ferragamo.
